In this project, we focused on restoring and upgrading systems for the home’s new owners. The original setup was far from ideal: the smart home system was prone to glitches, the interface was convoluted, and climate control was a constant struggle. Additionally, the property suffered from poor Wi-Fi coverage and faulty lighting, including worn-out garden accents.
Work Performed:
- KNX Smart Home Reverse Engineering: We conducted a full system diagnostic and replaced all faulty components. The entire system was reconfigured from the ground up, optimizing performance through a simple and logical control framework.
- Climate Control: We swapped out outdated thermostats for intuitive Zennio units. Now, managing the temperature is seamless and requires no manual.
- Interface and Server: We deployed a new Italian ThinKNX server, creating a modern, visually accessible interface to manage every aspect of the home.
- New Integrations: We expanded the system’s capabilities, as for example, integrating pool cover and garage gate controls, along with custom automation scenes.
- Network and Internet: A new local network was deployed featuring Wi-Fi 6 access points, ensuring high-speed connectivity, robust security, and zero dead zones across the property.
- Equipment Audit: We performed a comprehensive check of all devices, including the CCTV and TV systems.
- Landscape Lighting: A complete overhaul of the garden’s accent lighting was executed. The setup was custom-tailored to highlight the specific height, shape, and type of each plant.
The Result
The clients now enjoy a fully functional, comfortable home. We ensured that every single feature—down to the smallest detail—works reliably, making home management effortless and intuitive.
